§ 6-19. Purpose.

The regulations set forth in this article are supplemental to, and not a substitution for, any of the county animal control ordinances or related regulations; rather, they are intended to designate responsibilities associated with the ownership of animals in the city. Those responsibilities include the care, custody and handling of animals, and the numbers of animals, as well as to provide that these provisions primarily apply to the handler, owner or any other person in control of animals.
