§ 2-77. Department heads.

Upon appointment, as provided for in the Charter, department heads shall be supervised by the city administrator. Each department head shall be responsible to the city administrator for the proper functioning of the various sections and activities under the purview of his department and shall keep the city administrator apprised of the status of operations and programs of significance to him and the mayor and city council. Each department head shall maintain and provide to the city administrator a current organization plan of his department, delineating those responsible for the various functions, and their deputies.
